Viewing the animals from safari vehicles
This
is the real thing! Morning
and evening game drives in
open 4x4 safari jeeps. You are accompanied by experienced field rangers. The game drives take between
two and
three hours and include visits to world renowned Khoisan
rock art sites. Refreshments such as sparkling wine, grape
juice, and snacks such as biltong
(traditional cured dried meat) nuts and dried fruits are served at
various
lookout
points along the way.
Cape Town safari packagesHorse-back safaris
In
my opinion the ideal way to experience the wildlife on the Game Reserve
and an excellent opportunity for you to take some great pictures
because you can get closer to the animals. The horses are available for
morning and evening game viewing. No riding experience is
required. There is a maximum of 9 people per
horse-back safari, they are guided
by the rangers. Duration: 2 hours. Minimum age requirement is 9 yrs old.
Cape Town safari package
 Quad Bikes
Try
this for a Cape Town safari with a difference. Minimum age requirement
is 16 yrs
old. One person per
quad bike.There is a
maximum of 10
people per safari, and you are guided by two qualified
field rangers. Duration: 2 hours.
Fly-in Safaris
For something different and definitely scenic,
try a helicopter or light plane to get you to the Game Reserve and back
to Cape Town. Combined with your choice of safari
package. Quotation by request. Subject to availability.
Self-drive - or transport provided
You
could drive yourself to the reserve, but if required a driver and
vehicle will meet you at your hotel, and you'll travel
over
the scenic Du Toits
kloof Pass and through the Winelands
to the Game Reserve. A welcome cocktail will await your
arrival whilst you relax by the rock swimming pool in summer, or enjoy
a roaring log fire
in the cigar bar or lounge in winter.
Different Safari PackagesAquila
Game Reserve Cape Town has several safari package options to
choose from. All can be pre-reserved. The packages
all include top class meals, drinks, relaxation at the pool and a curio
shop. They
enable you to appreciate your total safari experience in a format that
best suits your
time and interests.
Children
are welcome at the Game Reserve. Under 4 are admitted at no charge,
and you'll pay half price for ages 4-11.

 Day Safari & Day
Combo SafariThese
are offered with or without transport to the reserve – Guests have the option to do another
activity such as a
horse-back or quad-bike
safari, which are offered subject to availability. It is recommended to
book beforehand, especially if you wish to do a combination of all
three activities.
2 Day Overnight Safaris
You'll be spending the night in 4 star luxury chalet accommodation which also
includes a honeymoon suite. Plenty
of game viewing on this safari package, combined with plenty of good
food and relaxation at the pool on hot days, or indoors close to a
roaring fire during the winter. Your time could be extended to another
day as required.
