The Drumbeat Tour
starting each Sunday in Cape Town and ending in Johannesburg, takes 16 days and 15
nights. It includes 2 days spent at your leisure in Cape Town and Durban and a day of leisure in Johannesburg.

From Cape Town your tour takes you through the Klein Karoo to the ostrich capital of Oudtshoorn where you overnight. After exploring the famous Cango Caves
and an ostrich farm, on to Knysna. You spend the following day
exploring the region. Then its through the Tsitsikamma forest to Port
Elizabeth.
On the next day of your Drumbeat Tour you take a transfer flight to Durban spending 2 days in the city at leisure.
Day 10 you visit Zululand and the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi
region where you spend the night. After an early game drive the next
morning you enter Swaziland where you overnight. Next day you reach
the Kruger Park and overnight in Mpumalanga.
On Day 13 you experience an early morning game drive through the Kruger Park and return to your hotel. The following day you're taken along some of the most scenic spots in Mpumalanga, where you overnight, before arriving on your 15th day in Johannesburg.
Your final
day is spent at leisure in Johannesburg.

DAY 1 SUN CAPE TOWN
Arrive Cape Town International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Remainder of day at
leisure (unescorted)
DAY 2 MON CAPE TOWN
Full day at leisure. Opportunity for optional Day Excursion. Overnight in Cape Town.
DAY 3 TUES CAPE TOWN
Full day at leisure. Your opportunity for an optional Day Excursion. Overnight in Cape Town.
DAY 4 WED CAPE TOWN – OUDTSHOORN
Leave Cape Town and travel Route 62 via Montagu and the ‘Klein Karoo’ to Oudtshoorn, ostrich capital of the world. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.
DAY 5 THURS OUDTSHOORN - KNYSNA
After breakfast you tour the vast limestone Cango Caves, and visit an Ostrich Show Farm (guided). Travel to quaint Knysna (shopping opportunity). Overnight in Knysna.

DAY 6 FRI KNYSNA
Leisurely
start before lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve, trailer ride
to top of Western Head, and a walk back through the Milkwood trees for
lunch. Afternoon at your leisure. Overnight in Knysna.
DAY 7 SAT KNYSNA - PORT ELIZABETH
Travel via Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth. On arrival, check into your hotel. Overnight in Port Elizabeth.
DAY 8 SUN PORT ELIZABETH - DURBAN
Transfer to the airport for Durban flight. Remainder of day at leisure (unescorted). Overnight in Durban.
DAY 9 MON DURBAN
Your day is spent at leisure in Durban. Opportunity to take an optional Day Excursion (own account).
DAY 10 TUES DURBAN - ZULULAND
Travel to the kingdom of Zululand. Visit a cultural village for a traditional show & lunch. Travel on to the scenic Hluhluwe-Umfolozi region. Overnight in the region.
Drumbeat Tour
DAY 11 WED ZULULAND - SWAZILAND
Early
morning game drive. Travel to Swaziland and visit craft market followed
by optional afternoon excursion to Swazi candle factory. Overnight in
Swaziland.
DAY 12 THURS SWAZILAND – MPUMALANGA
Visit
a glass factory. Re-enter South Africa, travel to hotel outside Kruger
National Park. Late afternoon or night open vehicle game drives
(optional and for own account). Overnight in Mpumalanga.
DAY 13 FRI MPUMALANGA
Early
morning coffee or tea. Open vehicle game drive through Kruger Park
(pre-packed breakfast). Return to hotel for afternoon at leisure.

After leisurely breakfast, travel to your final destination - Johannesburg. Overnight in Sandton.
DAY 16 MON JOHANNESBURG
Your day is spent at leisure (unescorted) until private transfer to airport or railway station for onward journey.
