Self-catering rest camp accommodation in the Hluhluwe Imfolozi game reserves is found at Mpila and Hilltop camps both of which are ideally situated on  hilltops, offering scenic views over the surrounding bush.

At Mpila Camp there are different accommodation sections comprised of thatched huts and self contained chalets, and there is a safari camp containing tented units with bathrooms. There is also a petrol station and a basic shop.

Hilltop Camp offers serviced accommodation in the form of 2 bed huts plus lodges and chalets. The camp also has a restaurant and a shop.

More basic accommodation is available at Nselweni and Mndindini bush camps situated on the Mfolozi river, which consists of double units with kitchen and shower facilities.

The rest camp accommodation is generally fully booked during holidays and weekends - and especially during peak season, so it's advisable to book well in advance if you plan to stay overnight in the game reserve.
