16 Days Jhb to Cape Town
The
Panorama Tour
starting in Johannesburg and ending in Cape Town takes 16 days and 15
nights. You drive through the most scenic regions of Mpumalanga, spend 2 days
game
viewing in the Kruger Park, head through
Swaziland and on to the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi region in Zululand. Then you go to Durban.
From Durban, you transfer to Port
Elizabeth and then drive on to Knysna and
Oudtshoorn and via Montague to Cape Town. Lots of sightseeing en route.
You leave on Sunday
from Johannesburg.

DAY 1
SUN JOHANNESBURG
Arrive
Johannesburg or Tambo International Airport. Transfer to hotel.
Remainder of day at leisure (unescorted)
DAY 2
MON JOHANNESBURG - MPUMALANGA
Depart
Johannesburg after breakfast for Mpumalanga Province. Scenery includes
Blyde River Canyon and Gods Window. Overnight near
Hazyview.
DAY 3
TUES MPUMALANGA - KRUGER PARK - MPUMALANGA
Early
morning game drive in Kruger National Park with packed breakfast.
Search for ‘Big Five’. Enjoy prolific birdlife and numerous other
game. Afternoon at leisure at hotel. Late afternoon or night
open-vehicle game drive available (optional and for
own account).

MPUMALANGA
Early
morning coffee or tea. Depart on open vehicle game drive through Kruger
National Park with pre-packed breakfast. Return to hotel for
afternoon.

afternoon or night open-vehicle game drives available (optional and for
own account).
DAY 5
THURS MPUMALANGA - SWAZILAND
Early
breakfast. Travel to Swaziland and visit glass factory. Complimentary
(optional) afternoon excursion to Swazi candle factory.
Overnight in Swaziland.
DAY 6 FRI SWAZILAND - ZULULAND
After
breakfast, re-enter South Africa. Enjoy afternoon game drive. Travel to
the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi region. Overnight Hluhluwe-Umfolozi
region.
DAY 7 SAT
ZULULAND - DURBAN
After
breakfast, travel to traditional Zulu village for (ethnic) lunch and
show displaying local culture. Overnight in Durban.

Day at
leisure in Durban (unescorted). Opportunity for optional Day Excursion

DAY 9 MON
DURBAN - PORT ELIZABETH
Transfer
for Port Elizabeth flight. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Remainder of
day at leisure. Overnight in Port Elizabeth.
DAY 10
TUES PORT ELIZABETH - KNYSNA
Depart for
Tsitsikamma Mountains and indigenous forests. Afternoon at leisure at
hotel. Overnight in Knysna.

WED KNYSNA
Leisurely
start. Lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve, trailer ride to top
of Western Head, and walk back through milkwood trees for l lunch (included)
Overnight in Knysna.
DAY 12
THURS KNYSNA - OUDTSHOORN
Travel
over Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn. Visit Ostrich Farm (guided). Tour
vast limestone Cango Caves. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.
DAY 13
FRI OUDTSHOORN - CAPE TOWN
Breakfast.
Travel Route 62 via the ‘Klein Karoo’ and Montagu to Cape Town, arrive
late afternoon.
DAY 14
SAT CAPE TOWN (UNESCORTED)
Full day
at leisure. Opportunity for optional Day Excursion (own account).
Overnight Cape Town.
