Safari Parks in South Africa

Safari Parks in South Africa
If your intention is to experience an exciting wildlife safari in South Africa, you'll find that there are plenty of options available to you.

We'll start with our South African National Parks which are efficiently managed by
SanParks. There are 21 National Parks situated around the country.

These National Parks are aimed at the budget conscious safari traveller. They all provide self-catering accommodation in basic rest camps. Standard facilities at the camps generally include at least bedding, cooking utensils and fridges. You'll also find convenient restaurants, cafeterias, shops and fuel points at the larger rest camps.

The National Parks each offer an interesting wildlife and bird viewing experience in many different environments ranging from mountains to desert. Many have lions and a variety of game in residence, but only a few of them accommodate all the Big 5, the lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo.

National Parks offering Big 5 game viewing are the well known Kruger National Park which is situated in the North East of the country and the largest of the Safari Parks in South Africa, The Addo Elephant Park in the Eastern Cape region and the Marakele National Park in the Waterberg Mountains of Limpopo Province.
