Our South African National Parks are have been established throughout the country as you'll see from the numbers on the map above. They're effectively managed by SanParks. If you're looking to appreciate a wide range of South African biodiversity and enjoy a worthwhile cost effective wildlife safari, nothing beats a well run National Park. SanParks manages all sorts of conservation and scientific projects. They are actively involved in anti-poaching campaigns, animal disease research, conserving rare species of wildlife, and environmental education. General Information There are 21 South African National Parks. They are situated in 6 different eco-zones: Kruger Park, Northern, Arid, Cape, Frontier and Garden Route. The Parks all offer a variety of serviced self-catering accommodation and facilities. Bedding, cooking utensils and fridges are provided. Restaurants or cafeterias, shops and fuel points are located at most rest camps. Rest camp tariffs could be discounted at the discretion of management. You pay half price for children 2-11yrs, and under 2yrs go at no charge. there are regular season discounts and promotions. The links below correspond with the numbers on the map above.
